The territory

Three territories, three wine souls

Our vineyards, distributed in three areas of the Vicenza territory, reflect distinct identities that we interpret with historic vines and careful production.

Gambellara

Gambellara

At the foot of the ancient Monte Calvarina volcano lie the vineyards that are the heart of the Dal Maso winemaking tradition. On the volcanic soils rich in basalts and tuffs, Garganega gives life to fresh, mineral and savory white wines, but also structured and long-lived.

Monti Lessini

Monti Lessini

On Mount Calvarina, between Vicenza and Verona, the volcanic soils of tuffs and basalts offer a marked minerality. It is the ideal home of Durello: from the native Durella variety come Classic Method sparkling wines of great elegance and longevity.

Colli Berici

Colli Berici

In the heart of the Vicenza area, in the municipalities of Lonigo and Alonte, lie soils of marine and calcareous origin enriched with red clays. It is the area of choice for great reds: the native Tai Rosso, alongside Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, for elegant wines of great structure.

The family

The Owners

The fourth generation of the Dal Maso family leads the winery today, each with their own role and a single passion for the territory.

Nicola Dal Maso
Winemaker

Nicola Dal Maso

The older brother, export manager and winemaker of the company. After studying at the San Michele all'Adige Oenological Institute, since 1991 he has worked alongside his father Luigino in production: he puts all his passion and love for the Vicenza area into the wines. He personally manages the company's export department.

Silvia Dal Maso
Administration

Silvia Dal Maso

In the company since 1995, she is the link between the commercial and production parts. She is the one who, with great mastery, pulls the “hidden” strings of the company keeping the direction of the whole family firm.

Anna Dal Maso
Sales

Anna Dal Maso

Since 2004 she manages the commercial side, follows sales in Italy and is the front-woman of all activities and events in the Vicenza and national territory.

Our history

Our roots

It all began at the end of the 19th century on the hills of Montebello Vicentino, where the Dal Maso family has been producing wine from its own vineyards in the Gambellara area. In 1919 Serafino Dal Maso, the founder of the family, officially founded the company: the year that we still carry with pride in our brand today.

In 1975 his son Luigino made a decisive turning point: he invested, acquired new properties and opened the company to international markets, anticipating the evolution of Venetian wine in the 80s and 90s.

The fourth generation takes up the baton. In 1991 Nicola, after studying at the San Michele all'Adige Oenological Institute, joined his father in production; in 1995 Silvia entered the company and in 2004 Anna. In 2019 we celebrated our first century of history.

Today Nicola, Silvia and Anna Dal Maso lead the winery together, faithful to the bond with the Vicenza territory and its native varieties: a century of history that continues to bear fruit.
